- Whether the door closes smoothly and aligns with its frame
- Whether this is an apartment entrance, villa entrance, office or internal door
- Building or landlord requirements for changing the lock
Ask the installer which measurements are needed for your proposed model. Door thickness, lock position and available space must be checked against that specific product's fitting requirements.
Glass doors need a specific assessment
A black glass finish on a lock does not mean it fits a glass door. Share whether the door is framed or frameless and show the existing hardware. Confirm the exact mounting arrangement before ordering from a specialist collection.
Choose access methods you will actually use
Write down whether you need fingerprint entry, a keypad, managed guest access or an app. Then confirm which features the selected model includes and whether extra equipment is required. Do not assume that all smart locks offer every access method.
Confirm the work and quote
